Hulbert is a visionary K-12 education leader, driven by a deep passion for transforming education and empowering students in the 21st century. With almost two decades of experience, he has consistently embraced innovation and nurtured a growth mindset to bring about meaningful and positive change.
As the superintendent of Michigan International Prep School, a virtual charter school that he founded, Hulbert focuses on serving the whole child through the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Previously, he established a virtual school within a local district, now serving over 2000 students annually. Drew has also served as the Executive Director of Innovative Programs at a K-12 school system implementing forward-thinking initiatives to enhance educational outcomes. As co-chair of the Innovation Council for the Michigan Department of Education, Drew advocates for adapting traditional systems to meet the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.
